Annual General Meeting

The election of officers were as follows: President Michael Siegle, Vice President Ron Langley, Treasurer David Pngley, Secretary Bob Maynard and Public Officer Ramon U’Brien.

Congratulations to Denis Clunie who was presented with the President’s Award for outstanding contribution to the shed in the previous year.


Fathers Day BBQ Thursday Night 3rd September

We have also accepted an offer from Bunnings North to host the Father’s Day BBQ on THURSDAY NIGHT the 3rd. September We require a couple of blokes to man the barbie from 4pm to 8pm.shift. Bunnings are supplying the snags for the evening….all we have to do is cook them. The barbie will be relocated at 4pm to the timber yard for the evening cooking so there will be plenty of light and we will be undercove

Prostrate Cancer Fund Raising by Mens Sheds 3rd to 5th September

The Nepean Mens Shed and the Penrith Community Mens Shed are joining forces at Bunnings North Penrith to raise funds for Prostrate Cancer Research with Sausage Sizzles.

This special fundraising event will be held on Thursday September 3rd through to Saturday September 5th. So come to Bunnings North Penrith for a great Sausage Sizzle and support Prostrate Cancer Research.


The AGM will be held on Monday the 31st August at the Blue Mountains Woodcraft Centre, 19 Calver Ave, Mt Riverview Calvier road.  All committee positions will be declared vacant.

We have just been notified that we were successful with our grant application from the James N Kirby Foundation. $12,000 to purchase plant and equipment for Simeon Rd. Among the items we can now purchase are a Defibrillator, Metal shears and press (Morrie will be pleased) Thicknesser and a ride on mower. Please no fighting over who gets to use it, you all have to share it. I guess the next application will be for a garage to store it in!!!!
